Corporate Social Responsibility – Doing Well by Doing Good
Every day we face issues concerning our health, the environment or the economy. It begs the question, is it possible for companies to make a profit whilst doing good for the environment and society as a whole? Arguably in a world of social media; which provides a platform for customers to communicate more directly with organisations, it may not be possible to remain profitable if you do not.
Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Ethicomm is the result of a strong belief, reinforced by worldwide examples and exemplars, that the successful businesses of the future will clearly and demonstrably benefit both their wider society and the environment; and as a result will be more profitable. These companies will be able to attract the best talent; will draw the most loyal customers; and will be supported by ethical investors.
Our aim is to work with companies to achieve just this, profitable growth through ethical and sustainable business practice that is embedded in your business model.
CSR Strategies Proven To Increase Profits
In recent years twice as many articles in the media discussing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) have been in the context of its positive impact on profits rather than purely promoting ethical business practice. The following outlines some key benefits of adopting a CSR approach:
- Increasing profitability through operational efficiency gains
- Developing and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders - customers, suppliers, employees and the wider public
- Enhancing employee relations that yield better results in respect of recruitment, motivation, retention, learning, innovation, and productivity
- Compliance with regulatory requirements
- Increasing brand recall and customer loyalty - consumers want to support companies who adopt the right, legal and ethical approach to running their business
- Generating positive publicity and media opportunities
Ethicomm – CSR: consultancy & communications
Ethicomm provides marketing communications and consultancy services to organisations looking to either put in place a CSR strategy or audit their existing practices. For many clients, some of our services will overlap to form part of an integrated approach, while it may suit others to focus on one area in isolation, such as public relations or CSR auditing. Our list of services includes:
- Business Consultancy - embedding values and value into your business model
- Marketing Communications - to promote your advantage through PR, social media, online and offline communications
- CSR Audit - external, independent auditing of existing business practices and policies against current best practice and to ensure regulatory and industry standards compliance
- In-House Training - develop understanding of corporate culture amongst employees
- Research & Stakeholder Insight - engagement with internal and external stakeholders
