TOP AVIVA MAN TO CHAIR SHAPING NORFOLK'S FUTURE
Chief Executive of Aviva UK Life Mark Hodges has been appointed Chairman of Shaping Norfolk’s Future, the county’s economic development partnership between the public and the private sector.
Mark Hodges is an Executive Director of Aviva plc and a member of the Aviva group executive committee. He was previously responsible for outsourcing the administration of nearly 3m heritage policies to Swiss Re.
The Financial Industry Group, an independent not for profit business, acts as a sector group for Shaping Norfolk’s Future.
Fig Director Marjorie Eade said: “I am absolutely delighted that Mark Hodges has been appointed to this role.
“Aviva is the largest private sector employer in Norwich and financial services now employs a third of the city’s workforce.
“The financial sector has come under a lot of criticism recently and in taking on this unpaid role Mark, a very busy, very senior executive, is demonstrating great commitment to supporting Norfolk and giving something back to the community.”
