PROJECT EVOLVE

Project Evolve is a government funded business engagement programme designed to support Norfolk-based SMEs and their employees through the economic downturn.

The programme is delivered through University of East Anglia, City College Norwich and the Norwich University College of the Arts, and through the funding from the Higher Education Funding Council for England and local authorities in Norfolk this programme is free to individuals and small and medium sized firms in Broadland.

The support offered by Evolve will aid business owners and managers to increase and develop new skills in their workforce, address current business issues, and help increase performance and prepare businesses for greater success in the future economy.

Evolve offers:

• One-to-one skills assessments and business coaching for business owners to solve specific problems or to increase organisational performance in general.
• Short courses to provide skills/knowledge development programmes for the future economy. Courses in Leadership and Management; Service and Customer Orientation; Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation; Advanced IT Skills and Carbon Management.
• Group mentoring and in-house development workshops to help develop leadership and management skills.
• The placement of subsidised graduate interns into businesses to increase resources in the workplace and to address strategic business issues
• Comprehensive training to become a Carbon Change Agent, therefore providing businesses with the knowledge to benefit from the opportunities of the low carbon economy.
